Dr. Thurston-Snoha (she/her) is a licensed psychologist. She offers telehealth and in-person therapy in our Ijamsville location. Dr. Thurston-Snoha enjoys working with adults and specializes in providing evidence-based treatments for trauma, anxiety, and depressive disorders. These treatments include Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Behavioral Activation. Dr. Thurston-Snoha also incorporates mindfulness-based approaches in treatment. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Louisville and is licensed in Maryland and West Virginia.
Dr. Thurston-Snoha has extensive experience in the development and implementation of evidence-based treatment programs for adults across multiple settings (e.g., women's health, mindfulness, anger management, intimate partner violence, de-escalation programs). She has worked in private practice settings providing evidence-based treatments for trauma, anxiety, and depressive disorders, gender dysphoria and related issues. Dr. Thurston-Snoha served as Chief Psychologist, Deputy Chief Psychologist, Internship Program Coordinator, Drug Abuse Program Coordinator, and Staff Psychologist in multiple prisons where she focused on the implementation and supervision of various evidence-based treatment programs. Additionally, she has provided multiple trainings to prison employees related to suicide prevention and sexual abuse intervention and prevention. Research efforts have included program evaluation projects for several programs including those for youthful offenders, trauma, and drug programs. She is passionate about furthering research and programs in psychology and regularly advocates for their implementation.
